Microwave Remote Radio System
Microwave Remote Radio System is a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint microwave frequency shifting repeater system that overcomes antenna isolation problem in conventional repeater system. The Master Unit (MU) receives the donor signal by direct coupling, and translates it to the microwave link frequency by MTU for transmission to the Remote MTU. The remote MTU receives the link signals and translates them back to the original signals in the remote Unit, which are then transmitted to the service areas. It can reduce fiber deployment by transmitting signal through microwave and site deployment costs by eliminating donor antenna isolation problems through frequency translation.
